Our Team

Led by “hands on” directors Chris and Rob, Shift Traffic currently employs over 75 full time staff with a back-up of experienced teams drafted in whenever required at larger events.

Chris was TM Manager for Yorkshire 2014 (Grand Depot) Tour de France stages one and two.

Rob co-ordinated the traffic management for all road events held in London for the 2012 London Olympics.

They can also boast experience gained in developing traffic safety measures for many other notable leisure events such as the Royal Parks Half Marathon, the Standard Chartered Great City Race in London plus the RideLondon cycle weekend which is the largest closed road event in Europe.

Our customers enjoy the benefits of our impressive staff retention. Not only is this based on a marvellous family atmosphere but we have a policy of whenever possible to promote from within as we continually grow the company size. That way we know that all operatives have been properly and fully trained. This conveyor belt of talent embeds both the company ethos and an engrained work ethic. All backed by their knowledge of the industry, literally gained from the ground up!

As professionalism is our watchword all staff not only receives a rigorous initial training but are required to complete an ongoing CPD programme.

A smart appearance portrays professionalism. So all staff, including the office based members, wear logoed uniforms.

To maintain these high standards Shift Traffic Events Limited operates a continual programme of 15% internal auditing of services by two field operatives and 100% desktop audits being carried out by the Operations team, to ensure both continuous quality and consistency of service. This naturally includes all safety equipment and PPE being regularly replaced.

Our fleet of vans and lorries can accommodate all client requirements. We run a modern fleet of vehicles for efficiency, reliability and to meet the companies green credentials.

We operate a paperless system for our office team and TM operatives so that all RAMS, certificate’s and accreditations are held by each team member on site with access to our cloud-based server to gain access to all site plans and permits. Our system also allows photographic evidence to be collected from each site and stored remotely.

Our projects team are fully trained in the use of the Symology System and are all EToN6 qualified.
